The mission of Community Business Senior Institute (CBSI) is to empower the economically powerless so that they can make informed decisions. Ms. Christine Bowden (Founder & President) and her team have been community advocates for economically powerless in the Chicagoland area for over 30 years.

Through Ms. Bowden's advocacy she has worked with locally elected officials, corporations, faith-based leaders and other center with emphasis in the area of health and wellness, financial education, and economic justice. Ms. Bowden's primary clients constituents are senior citizens and the very elderly from disadvantaged communities.

For many disadvantaged older adults, the path to economic security begins with basic money management. Learning how to budget, avoid scams, apply for benefits , and manage prepaid debit cards can help them stay secure and independent longer. Add to this mix dangers of identity theft, the number one scam which continues to hamper the financial circumstances of seniors, especially seniors from impoverished communities in Chicago
